Prof. Dr. H. H. Weiler (NYU) will be arguing that Trump is merely putting the nails in the coffin. In a process beginning at its supposed moment of glory, the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Pax Americana contracted a terminal illness and was in its death throws well before Trump’s presidency.
Prof. Weiler will track the Pax Americana from its birth after WWI, analyze its features and progress and highlight the structural reasons leading to its demise 100 years later.
